The Principal Installation Analysis Engineer is responsible for interpreting internal or external business issues and recommending best practices. They will be tasked with solving complex Installation Analysis-related problems and will work independently with minimal guidance. The Principal Installation Analysis Engineer may be responsible for leading functional teams or projects and is regarded as a specialist in Installation Analysis. As such, they must have in-depth expertise in Installation Analysis as well as broad knowledge of the Installation Analysis discipline within the Engineering function. The prospective candidate shall have significant experience in pipeline & cable installation engineering. Good working knowledge of Orcaflex and python is essential.

Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Perform conceptual, FEED, and detailed designs in line with project specifications, codes, and standards.
· Prepare and review design calculations, reports, procedures, and technical documentation.
· Lead engineering teams, ensuring scope, deliverables, schedule, and budget compliance.
· Develop clash-free designs, interfacing with other disciplines, departments, and project teams.
· Monitor progress, productivity, and take corrective actions to meet project objectives.
· Review and approve engineering deliverables, including vendor submittals and requisitions.
· Ensure compliance with technical quality, standards, and operational requirements.
· Address scope changes, raise notifications, and provide support for variation orders.
· Coordinate with procurement teams for materials, equipment, and vendor documents.
· Provide technical support for fabrication, installation, and offshore queries.
· Represent the discipline in meetings with clients, certifying bodies, and third parties.
· Mentor junior engineers, sharing technical knowledge and ensuring process adherence.
· Capture lessons learned and contribute to the development of procedures and standards.
· Participate in audits, technical reviews, and ensure proper documentation of decisions.
· Support manpower planning, project forecasting, and provide performance feedback.
Essential Qualifications and Education:
· 10-15 years in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultant predominantly performing construction and installation design
· Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture, Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering (Master’s is a preference)
· Detailed knowledge of design techniques and analysis methods, and detailed knowledge of the theory, content, and application of standards, codes, and guidelines as applicable Knowledgeable in project coordination and execution skills
· Preferably Registered Professional Engineer or member of a professional engineering society
